“…My work at some level resonates with a question whether the somaesthetics may become what humans long for in the future. Three-Legged Idols spreads its idea stemming from my Animistic worldview, a hint from the imaginary past over many millennia where the terrestrial resources, faith and aesthetics were bonded. They isolate and glorifie a tendency towards tripodal armature, pondering and gesturing towards its utilitarian and ornamental ubiquity across cultures since prehistory. By emphasizing the three-points stance, I portray a liminal space—the purgatory between humanity’s physical connection with Earth—and its simultaneous yearning for the celestial and a speculative future.”
